The nicest staff you will ever meet! I arrived early and they helped me get in a room to get some ZZs. We told them we may go to a VT volleyball game and they printed me a roster! My son left his airpods and they found them & put them in a safe. Great service! Oh and my kids loved the free lemonade and cookies!

I always stay at the Comfort Inn near Virginia Tech because it’s 10 minutes from my son’s house and accommodates pets. We often have to take our pup along and it’s a godsend that he can stay with us. This particular trip, however, I didn’t have my pup. Sometime after turning in I experienced a terrible smell of cat pee. I had the heater on. Perhaps it came from there? I checked my bedding, clothing, bag I brought in case one of my cats left me a gift. Nothing screamed “I’m the smell”. I changed beds and that helped. But upon awakening, the smell was still there. Shaggy, Scooby and the Gang might have solved this mystery, but I remain perplexed.

I had a positive experience at the hotel. The staff were friendly and attentive. I stayed after Hurricane Helena, during which there was a boil water advisory. While I was unaware of this advisory prior to my stay, it did not reflect negatively on the hotel, as they provided bottled water upon request. I slept very well during my stay. Although my room, 219, had a noisy air conditioning unit, it did not disrupt my experience. I would certainly consider staying in the same room again in the future.
