We like the Carolina Cuban Sandwich made with pulled pork and pimento cheese and the Roasted Vegetables & Farro Bowl. Don’t miss their Mason Jar Desserts: Banana Pudding, Choco Peanut Butter, or Key Lime. Open Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 12 a.m., Friday to 1 a.m.; Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 1 a.m.; Sunday 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The quintessential neighborhood bar with a great vibe (they call themselves "the best half-assed bar around"). There is also a small but tasty food menu that includes their Pimento Cheese Bacon Burger and Madelyn's Pimento Cheese Sampler (it's the South--you can't have too much pimento cheese!). The front deck with a view of street is pooch-friendly. Dead Mule actually is a club, with a $5 membership fee. Best $5 you'll ever spend! Open daily 3 p.m. t o 2 a.m.
Historic no frills local bar located underneath famed Franklin Sreet with cave-like walls, pool, beer only, great live music, with friendly folks their dogs. Once your pet has been, he can become an official "cavedog" and have his picture posted on website. Yearly (mid-late August) get- togethers with 2 or 3 neighboring bars for aweekend festival of music/food/beverages is called "Sleazefest." Dog cookies available at the bar.
Not to be missed. Serving up Southern classics with a twist, the Weathervane has one of the prettiest dog-friendly patios we have ever seen, brick and tree-lined, with a wonderful secluded atmosphere. Our favorites on the menu include Sweet Tea-Glazed Salmon, Fried Green Tomatoes and Okra with Smoky Ranch Dressing, and Ashe County Pimento Cheese Fritters. Wing Stop serves up crowd-pleasing wings and offers pet-friendly seating.

The Common Market offers fresh deli sandwiches, cold beer, an extensive wine selection, urban provisions, knicks & knacks and most importantly a neighborhood connection. Dogs are welcome on the patio!
Barbara's Canine Cafe offers 'Yappy Hours" for your pup, plenty of samples for them to devour, and lots of treats to take home. Two paws up!
The Dog Bar is Charlotte's only dog friendly bar. They are located in the historical North Davidson neighborhood, commonly known as the "NoDa Art's District." The pub offers beer, wine and liquor but does not serve food. However, you can bring in food from other local restaurants! All dogs of shapes and sizes are welcomed, as long as they are "well-behaved" and owners show proof of rabies.
Outdoor tables are dog friendly and a great place to enjoy the day and a good wine.
