The wineries listed below welcome you and your dog (on leash at all times) but remind you that your pet needs to be on best behavior (particularly if your dog is allowed inside) to ensure a good time is had by all the vineyard’s guests. When planning your wine tour itinerary, we strongly recommend that you call each vineyard you intend to visit so you understand their rules and what their facilities are like.

Benziger Family Winery

Matanzas Creek Winery

Your pet can be on the vineyard grounds on leash but not in the buildings or tasting room. However, you can request a tasting out on the deck, where your dog is welcome. If at all possible, time your visit for June and July when their famous lavender gardens are in bloom.

Your pet is welcome on the property but not in the tasting room (which is located in a historic barn). However, visitors have been known to hook their dog’s leash around the leg of a nearby picnic table and there is also a bench right outside the barn doors.

Kunde Estate Winery
10155 Sonoma Highway
Kenwood, CA 95452

This winery loves dogs. Though your pet may not take the tour (because it involves getting in a van and there’s not really a lot of room), he is welcome in the tasting room. Also, Kunde periodically offers Dog Hikes with fourth-generation winegrower Jeff Kunde and his dogs, Cooper and Marley. For a fee, you and your canine will enjoy a 4-hour hike throughout the vineyard that culminates in a wine tasting and a wine country lunch. Reservations are required. Part of that fee is donated to the Dogwood Animal Rescue Project and the Sonoma County Humane Society.
