In our never-ending search to help you find excellent pet-friendly lodging--and to ensure that you have awonderful experience--we've added yet another category to our growing list of databases. The Traveler's Choice listing isunique in that all the lodgings have been personally recommended by traveling pet owners like you--with no other incentive, commercial orotherwise, than to share their find with others.

All you have to do is click on our logo to the left of the listing to read therecommendation.

All of us at petswelcome.com thank you for your input and urge you to click on the "Vote Now" button that is found throughout our site and to nominate a lodging for a Pet-friendly Seal of Approval whichis necessary to get into the Traveler's Choice listings.

The Traveler's Choice listing is also unique in that each lodging has chosen to actively market and promote itselfas being pet friendly. This is very important because it means that they not only "tolerate" pet owners, but view them as valuable customers who should be actively sought out and catered to. And being catered to starts with good information: That's why each listing is linked to the lodging's own website. While we have pet-owners' recommendations scattered throughout our site, as well as "Featured Lodgings" that signify extremely pet-friendly lodgings, the Traveler's Choicelisting is the only place that combines both categories to help you find the perfect place to stay.

Since we just started this section as of the February of 2002, we currently don't have a lot of Traveler's Choice lodgings listed yet. However, we thought that by making this a stand-alone section, we'd motivate the Basset Hound who was supposed to be posting your recommendations for the past 3 years. We think he gets the message now, as there seems to be a new vigor inthe way he yawns and re-settles himself on the couch in the employees' lounge.

In the next few months, then, we'll be catching up on the hundreds of recommendationsthat you've been sending in, so be sure to come back and check out the new listings. We expect this to be a fast-growing, informative andhighly-visted section on our site. After all, we cannot think of a better recommendation than from the "experts"--real people like you who are out theretraveling with their pets.
