That’s because there is no pet fee and a 100-pound weight limit which, we were told by the front desk person, isn’t really a weight limit at all because they actually accept pets of all sizes. And while pets aren’t allowed in Hearst Castle they are allowed on the grounds, as well as on a number of nearby beaches including Hearst Beach and San Simeon Cove.
