Pet Events in the USA – August 2015
There are a lot of great family activities this August happening across the states. If you aren’t near any of the cities listed, check with your local humane society to see what events are happening near you. If your dog loves to swim, this is the perfect event. Your pup can play in the pool while you check out the vendors and business owners who will have booths set up. All dogs are welcome as long as they are older than 6 months. Bring proof of vaccinations and watch the puppy pool party!
Old Dog Party
OK, this is an awesome event for your senior dog. This is an annual party for dogs that 7yrs old and oder, ONLY. There will be a senior olympic event, paw painting, and other games for you and your older dog to play. Grab a goodie bag when you’re leaving and spend the afternoon with your older dog playing in the park.

When is the last time you got to see “The Breakfast Club” on the big screen? Well, then make sure to make your calendar with this event. Food trucks will be there so you don’t have to worry about what to have for dinner. Bring your dog and a blanket. Park for free at the zoo parking lot and spend the evening watching a cool movie about a group of misfits stuck in detention.
Doggie Street Festival
Don’t miss this. It’s the largest adopt-a-thon in San Diego and it’s going to be awesome. Lots of vendors selling the latest and greatest pet products, live music, a kid’s area, auctions, and games for everyone. Bring your pup and check out the dogs and cats that are for adoption. Bark & Brew
Bring your best friend, have your pics taken in the photo booth, and drink a few brews. There will be a raffle, a silent auction, plenty of good food to eat, and a tournament. Best of all, the proceeds help pets looking for their forever homes.
