June is a great time to plan a trip in the US that includes not just your human family, but your pets as well. Summer events are plentiful, with lots of things taking place outdoors, which always makes it easier to bring your dog along to join in the fun. Here’s a rundown of some of the pet events in the US in June around which you might just want to plan a vacation.

With so many pet events across the country, this list can’t be quite comprehensive – at least not without your help. Is your pet event, or one in your area, missing from our list? Please help us update this list to keep it current by leaving the information in a comment below!

Pet Events in the USA – June 2015

There are a lot of great family activities this June happening across the states. If you aren’t near any of the cities listed, check with your local humane society to see what events are happening near you. This information was correct when it was published – please check with the local event organizers for the most up-to-date schedule, location, and admission information.

Dog Yappy Hour

When: June 5, 2015 6pm to 8pm
Where: Ocean County Park, 659 Ocean Ave, Lakewood, NJ

Grab you furry friend and head out to Ocean County Park for an evening of fun, fetch, and laughs. There will be vendors, demos, and lots of freebies give out to those who come out! Meet other dog lovers, mingle, and spend a few hours in the summer sun. Your dog will make some awesome new friends!

Bark for Your Brew

When: June 7, 2015 2pm to 5pm
Where: Joe Riley Park, 360 Fishburne St, Charleston, SC

On June 7, head out to the park and hang out with other dog lovers before the Riverdogs Baseball game. The tickets include sampling of over 30 difference beers and a ticket to the game for you and your dog. So go see a game, drink some great crafted beer, and have some fun with your pup! Maybe she’ll catch a foul ball! Oh and there’s free parking!

Seattle Furry 5K

When: June 14, 2015 10am to 1pm
Where: Seward Park, 5900 Lake Washington Blvd S, Seattle, WA

The Seattle 5K run helps support the Seattle Animal Shelter. Register your dog and you to run the 5K or walk, and afterwards, stick around to check out the vendors, grab some grub, and have a good time! If you’re going to watch the runners cross the finish line it’s free to attend. After the race, check out the different competitions and contests as well as the search for the next model for City Dog’s Magazine, maybe it’ll be your dog!

Colorado Disc Dogs

When: June 20, 2015 9am to 5pm

Join in on the competition. There will be 4 divisions at this event: novice, intermediate, advanced, and open. The novice division is free to enter. Come watch these dogs do amazing jumps to catch the discs. Pack a lunch, bring your camera, and get ready to be in awe!

Mutt Masters Dog Show & Olympics

When: June 20, 2015 1pm to 5pm
Where: Old Taft High School, 1545 SE 50th, Lincoln City, OR

Bring your dog with you to the dog show and check out all the booths and vendors that will be there. It’s a fun event for the entire family. Enter your pup into one of the many contests to win prizes and watch the dog on stage strut their stuff. Bring canned food and dry food for the Lincoln County Animal Shelter. Kids under 12 are free.

Portland International Beer Fest

When: June 26 -28, 2015 12pm to 10pm Fri and Sat, 12pm to 7pm Sun

PIB is a 3 day long festival where you can sample hard to find, rare, and exit beers from over 16 countries. Stroll around the park, take your pup, and have a great day of listening to music, sitting in the sun, and spending time with your best furry friend. It’s free to walk around but if you want to sample the beers, you will need to buy a pass.
