When somebody mentions Jupiter, you probably conjure up visions of the fifth planet from the sun. Well, in some ways Jupiter, FL, is like another planet if you and your best buddy are sitting in New York in January surrounded by snow and freezing temperatures. The good news, though, is that it’s a beautiful, tropical planet that offers a host of activities for you and your pet. And, even better, it’s not 365 million miles away so you don’t need a rocket ship to get there. Located in northern Palm Beach County and overlooking the Loxahatchee River and the Atlantic Ocean, pet-friendly Jupiter is a year-round vacation destination that is well-worth visiting.

First thing to do when you arrive is to take your dog to the beach! Jupiter has one of the few pet-friendly beaches left in Florida and they make no bones about it: It’s called the Jupiter Dog Beach. And when you’re done splashing in the foam, head for one of the many pet-friendly restaurants, including Jumby Bay Island Grill, Little Moirs Leftovers, Costello’s Trattoria, and The Bistro. And, if you have any energy left, you can head for F.I.N.D. Park which has 24 acres and an enclosed dog section where your dog can frolic with other beasties in one of two fenced-in areas that separate large and small breeds.
